1. Sandpaper is an abrasive material used to provide a a coarse and rough finish to various surfaces. It is generally made up of particles of paper or cloth with particles of an abrasive such as aluminium oxide bonded to the surface.
2. The abrasive particles are usually adhered to the paper or cloth by the use of a glue which also provides additional durability to the sandpaper. There are various grades of sandpaper based on the size of the abrasive particles and the amount of abrasives adhered to the paper or cloth.
