Low viscosity, two-component epoxy-polyurethane adhesive for resilient and textile flooring
SKU: MAPEI-ADESILEX-G20-7

About this itemMAPEI CERTIFIED

  • Two-Component System: Consists of component A (epoxy-polyurethane polymer) and component B (special hardener), which, when mixed, form a consistent, easy-to-apply paste. LOW VISCOSITY
  • Low Viscosity Formula: The low viscosity ensures that adhesive ridges flatten after application, preventing them from showing through thin floor coverings. TWO-COMPONENT
  • Chemical Setting: Sets through a chemical reaction without shrinkage, providing a stable and durable bond. EPOXY-POLYURETHANE
  • Durability and Resistance: After setting, the adhesive becomes tough and highly resistant to moisture, water, heat, and atmospheric agents, maintaining performance in demanding environments. HIGHLY ELASTIC

Uses & Advantages

Primary Uses

  • Bonding multisport flooring on asphalt
  • Installing recycled rubber shock-absorbent flooring on asphalt in playgrounds
  • Adhering resilient indoor sports flooring, including onto waterproofing fiberglass underlays
  • Bonding homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC in sheets and tiles
  • Installing CV floor coverings and LVT
  • Securing semi-flexible quartz vinyl floor tiles
  • Adhering textile floor coverings with common backings (latex-primed, PVC and polyurethane foam, natural jute and Action-Bac® backed carpets)
  • Bonding needlepunch woven flooring (including latex-backed) and flocked textile flooring
  • Installing linoleum with all types of backings
  • Adhering polyolefin-based and chlorine-free floor coverings
  • Bonding PUR floor coverings
  • Universal adhesive for rubber and PVC flooring types, especially under extreme conditions

Key Advantages

  • Extremely strong, tough, and elastic bond
  • Low viscosity formula prevents adhesive ridges from shadowing through thin flooring
  • Excellent adhesion to almost all materials normally used in construction
  • Resistant to moisture, water, heat, and atmospheric agents after setting
  • Easy to apply with a suitable notched trowel
  • Forms a uniform, non-shrinking bond through chemical reaction

FEATURES & BENEFITS

TECHNICAL DATASHEET SPEC

Two-Component System

Consists of component A (epoxy-polyurethane polymer) and component B (special hardener), which, when mixed, form a consistent, easy-to-apply paste.

Low Viscosity Formula

The low viscosity ensures that adhesive ridges flatten after application, preventing them from showing through thin floor coverings.

Chemical Setting

Sets through a chemical reaction without shrinkage, providing a stable and durable bond.

Durability and Resistance

After setting, the adhesive becomes tough and highly resistant to moisture, water, heat, and atmospheric agents, maintaining performance in demanding environments.

Broad Material Compatibility

Adheres exceptionally well to various building materials, including non-absorbent and moisture-sensitive substrates.

Adesilex G20 is a low viscosity, two-component adhesive formulated from an epoxy-polyurethane polymer and a specialized hardener. When the two components are thoroughly mixed, they form an evenly colored, easy-to-apply paste. Designed for general purpose use, this adhesive is particularly effective for bonding to non-absorbent or moisture-sensitive substrates, including wood, metal, ceramic, stone, resin, PVC, and rubber. After application, the adhesive ridges flatten, preventing shadowing through the floor covering. It undergoes a chemical reaction without shrinking, resulting in a tough, elastic bond resistant to moisture, water, heat, and atmospheric agents. Adesilex G20 adheres exceptionally well to a wide range of building materials and is suitable for both interior and exterior flooring installations, even in conditions of extreme temperatures, intense mechanical stress, or frequent washing.

Storage & Handling Guidelines

  • Store in original, sealed packaging for at least 24 months under normal environmental conditions.
  • Install at recommended temperatures, normally between +10°C and +30°C, to maintain workability and setting times.
  • Do not install on substrates unprotected from rising damp, on not completely set or wet concrete, or on fresh asphalt (wait at least 20 days).
  • Avoid installation on bituminous surfaces that might bleed oils.
  • When installing on curved surfaces or steps, ensure the flooring can be held in perfect adherence against the substrate until the adhesive has set.
  • Clean adhesive from flooring, tools, or clothing with alcohol before it hardens. Once hardened, mechanical removal or a specialized cleaner is required.
  • This product is for professional use.
