Applications
It is essential that Trafficguard Top coat is applied to sound, clean substrates in order to achieve maximum adhesion between the sealer and the substrate. Clean the surface and remove any dust, unsound material, plaster, oils, paint, grease, corrosion deposits or algae. Roughen the surface and remove any laitance by light scrubbing or grit blasting. Oil and grease deposits should be removed by steam cleaning, detergent scrubbing or the use of proprietary degreaser. The effectiveness of decontamination should then be assessed by pull-off test.
The two components should be mixed using a heavy duty slow speed drill and approved mixing paddle together 2 to 3 minutes, until homogeneous. Coating Apply the mixed Trafficguard Top Coat to the primed surface at an application rate of 0.2 to 0.5 ltr/m ² per coat. For best results the Trafficguard Top Coat should be applied with a short haired lambswool roller.
